The CHURCHILL TYRES sponsored Humber Premier league 1st team had to work hard to overcome a doughty Cherry Burton side at home last Saturday and despite going a goal down, a brace from Chris Dempsey and a sublime Ben Alport finish was the difference as the lads scored two late goals to run out 3-1 winners. In was a close, well fought game, Town made it four games unbeaten going into this weekends away East Riding Senior cup game against Hessle Rangers CIC.
A brace from Ross Pearson put the CHURCHILL TYRES sponsored York Minster Engineering Football league Division 1 2nds 2-0 up at home against Hessle Rangers CIC Reserves in the East Riding County FA Senior Country cup last weekend but the visitors pegged Town back to make it 2-2. Solid defending and some great saves from the Town keeper kept Pock in the game and set up a late winner from Sam Parkinson to see Town run out 3-2 winners and into the next round.
The lads are on their travels away against Rufforth United this weekend.
Goals from Cal Dunham and Adam Bagley saw the YARA sponsored York Minster Engineering Football league Reserve A 3rd team to a hard fought 2-1 league win at home to Dringhouses AFC Reserves at the weekend. It was a battling Town performance against tough opposition and in a team featuring several U18s, this bodes well for the development of the club.
Congratulations to todays Chrysalis Mens Mental Health MOMs for the clubs 3 teams today.
The Humber Premier league 1st team award was presented by Rob Carter to goals corer Ben Alport, the 2nds winner was Ross Pearson and Skipper Alex Ashby is seen here presenting veteran Mark Bagshaw with the 3rds award after his outstanding performance at centre back.
