Meet The Champions - Jimmy Jackson

It is your first season in senior football - how have you found the transition into open age football?

The transition at first was a scary thought but in my first few minutes of senior football it was just a normal football match and now I don’t feel fazed coming up against bigger players.

It isn't a bad way to start, can you put into words how the team has been with you and helped that transition?

All the teams have helped me develop me as a player and I feel welcomed among all players in all teams and have good friendships with all ages within the club. In particular the managers especially Joe has helped me become a better and more mature player

How did it feel to come on a sub vs Hedon especially with the travelling support?

I felt honoured to come on and being a part of this team winning the first league title against tough opponents but in front of a lot of Away supporters it was a thrilling feeling which I hope to experience in further years

What are your plans/targets for next season?

I hope to be a regular in the first team and contribute more goals and assists to help win consecutive league titles.
